At Grace Notes Apopka, our woodwind program is designed for students of all ages—from beginners who have never held a flute, clarinet, saxophone, or oboe, to seasoned players aiming for performance or ensemble work. Decide whether you’d like to study the flute, clarinet, saxophone, or oboe. If you're unsure, we offer trial lessons so you can explore which instrument resonates with you.
Together with your teacher, identify what you want to achieve—learning to read music, ensemble participation, solo performance and preparing for auditions.
Regular, one-on-one sessions ensure steady progress. Lessons include technique (breathing, embouchure, fingering), repertoire, ear training, and musicality.
You’ll be guided with assignments and exercises suited to your instrument. For example: long‐tones and articulation for oboe, scale work and dynamic contrast for flute.
